Who are we and what do we do with your personal data?
Serioplast Global Services S.p.A., with registered office in Seriate (BG), via Comonte n. 15 (hereinafter also “the Controller”), acting as Data Controller, is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal data and ensuring the necessary protection against any event that may put it at risk of violation.

The Controller implements policies and practices regarding the collection and use of personal data and the exercise of the rights recognised to you under applicable law. The Controller takes care to update the policies and practices adopted for the protection of personal data whenever necessary, and in particular in the event of regulatory or organisational changes that may affect the processing of your personal data.

How does the Controller collect and process your data?
Your personal information will be processed for:

1) Browsing the website seriopharma.serioplast.com
The processing of your personal data, such as browsing data (e.g. IP address) and cookies released through browsing the website seriopharma.serioplast.com, is carried out by the Controller in order to manage the website and to collect information, including aggregated data.

Your personal data will not be disseminated or disclosed to unidentified parties in any way.

2) Communication to third parties and recipients
The communication of your personal data takes place mainly to third parties and/or recipients whose activity is necessary for the performance of the activities related to the aforementioned purposes, and also to comply with certain legal obligations. The Controller processes, including through its suppliers (third parties and/or recipients), your personal data (e.g. IP address) or traffic data collected or obtained, in the case of services exposed on the website, to the extent strictly necessary and proportionate to ensure the security and the ability of a network or of the servers connected to it to resist, at a given level of security, unforeseen events or unlawful or malicious acts that compromise the availability, authenticity, integrity and confidentiality of personal data stored or transmitted.

To this end, the Controller has procedures in place for managing personal data breaches.

What are cookies and for what purposes can they be used?
A “cookie” is a small text file created by certain websites on the user’s computer when the user accesses a given site, with the purpose of storing and transporting information. Cookies are sent by a web server (the computer on which the visited website is running) to the user’s browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) and stored on the user’s computer; they are then re-sent to the website during subsequent visits.

These allow users browsing the Controller’s web page to access the relevant social network with a single click. In this case, the social network acquires the user’s data, while the Controller will not share any browsing information or user data acquired through its own site with the social network accessible via the social buttons/widgets. How we process your data
The processing of personal data is carried out through IT procedures by internal parties who have been specifically authorised and trained. They are permitted access to your personal data to the extent and within the limits necessary for the performance of the processing activities concerning you.

The Controller periodically reviews the tools through which your data are processed and the related security measures, providing for their constant updating; verifies, also through the parties authorised to process data, that no personal data are collected, processed, stored or retained whose processing is not necessary; and verifies that data are stored with guarantees of integrity and authenticity and for the purposes of the processing actually carried out.

Data are stored in IT and telematic archives located within the European Economic Area.

How long we process your data

  • Cookies: Please refer to the data retention periods indicated in the table above.
  • Website browsing: Personal data are retained for the time necessary to allow browsing of the website and in any case no longer than XX months, except in cases where events occur that require the intervention of the competent Authorities, also in collaboration with the third parties/recipients entrusted with the Controller’s IT security activities, to carry out any investigations into the causes of the event, as well as to protect the Controller’s interests in relation to any liability connected with the use of the website and its services.

What are your rights? 

In essence, at any time, free of charge and without any particular burden or formality for your request, you may:

  • obtain confirmation of the processing carried out by the Controller;
    access your personal data and learn about its origin (when the data are not obtained directly from you), the purposes and objectives of the processing, the details of the parties to whom it is communicated, the retention period of your data or the criteria used to determine it;
  • update or rectify your personal data so that it is always accurate and up to date;
  • erase your personal data from the Controller’s databases and/or archives, including backup archives, in cases where, among others, the data are no longer necessary for the purposes of the processing or if the processing is deemed unlawful, and provided the conditions required by law are met; and in any case where the processing is not justified by another equally legitimate reason;
  • restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, for example where you have contested its accuracy, for the period necessary for the Controller to verify its accuracy. You must be informed, within a reasonable time, of when the suspension period has ended or the reason for the restriction of processing has ceased, and the restriction itself has been lifted;
  • obtain your personal data, if received or processed by the Controller with your consent and/or if their processing is based on a contract and carried out by automated means, in electronic format, also for the purpose of transmitting it to another data controller.

The Controller must proceed accordingly without delay and, in any case, no later than one month from receipt of your request. The deadline may be extended by two months, if necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests received by the Controller. In such cases, the Controller will inform you and notify you of the reasons for the extension within one month of receiving your request. To exercise your rights, write to privacy@serioplast.com.

How and when can you object to the processing of your personal data? 
For reasons relating to your particular situation, you may object at any time to the processing of your personal data if it is based on legitimate interest, by sending your request to the Controller at privacy@serioplast.com.

You have the right to the erasure of your personal data if there is no overriding legitimate reason compared to the one that gave rise to your request.

Who can you lodge a complaint with? 

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, or the one that carries out its tasks and exercises its powers in Italy where you have your habitual residence or work, or, if different, in the Member State where the infringement of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 took place.
